  Ingredients List:

  • 500g long pasta
  • 1/4 cup Greek extra virgin olive oil + extra for egg frying
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup grated mizithra cheese
  • 1 fried egg per portion
  • Kefalotyri cheese for garnish
  • Salt & pepper to taste


  1. Cook pasta as per usual
  2. In a large skillet, add olive oil and butter and heat until butter has melted and is heated thoroughly
  3. Add grated mizithra and slowly heat until browned
  4. Add cooked pasta and mix well
  5. Fry 1 egg per person and serve on top of pasta
  6. Garnish with grated kefalotyri


Notes & Tips:
  • Makes 4-6 pasta portions
  • Serve immediately
  • Ready in under 15 minutes
  • Mizithra can be replaced with hard cheese of choice
