Baked Greek Meatballs

  Ingredients List:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 onion
  • Bunch of parsley
  • Bunch of dill
  • Bunch of mint
  • 1 egg
  • 100g feta cheese
  • 4 tbsp. Greek extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste


  1. Pre-heat oven to 400*f/200*c
  2. Finely chop onion, garlic and fresh herbs
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with chopped herbs, onion & garlic
  4. Add olive oil and egg and mix well
  5. Form into equal sized balls
  6. Cube feta into 1/2" cubes
  7. Flatten each meatball in the palm of your hand, place feta cube in the centre and close again forming a round ball (see video)
  8. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and bake @ 400* for 25-35 minutes or until desired doneness


Notes & Tips:
  • Serve as meze or as a main
  • Serve with salad, rice, pasta or veggies
  • Use tzatziki as the preferred dip
  • Can easily be frozen before or after baking
  • Half baking time and add to tomato sauce
