Easy Taramasalata (Taramosalata suitable for Greek lent)

  Ingredients List:

  • 2 lbs. boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup veg. oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup caviar / carp roe
 

Method:

  1. Peel and boil potatoes
  2. Puree or grate onion and set aside
  3. In a mixer add potatoes and mix with paddle until smooth
  4. Add the veg. oil, lemon juice and onion and mix until well combined
  5. Add caviar/roe and mix well

 

Notes & Tips:
  • Drizzle with Greek extra virgin olive oil before serving
  • Garnish with Kalamata olives. lemon and/or parsley
  • Serve with pita, crackers, bread or veggies
