Easy Tiropita - Greek Feta Cheese Pie

Tiropita

  Ingredients List:

  • 10 phyllo sheets
  • 3 eggs
  • 450g feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Greek extra virgin olive oil
  • Pepper to taste
 

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350*f / 160*c
  2. In a bowl, crumble feta, add 4 tbsp. olive oil and eggs and mix well to combine. Set aside
  3. On a baking sheet, brush bottom with olive oil and place first phyllo sheet
  4. Brush with olive oil and continue for 4 more phyllo dough sheets (5 phyllo sheets total on bottom)
  5. Evenly spread feta cheese filling
  6. Repeat phyllo dough sheet for the top (remaining 5 phyllo sheets)
  7. Bake for approx. 45 minutes @ 350* until golden brown and flakey

 

Notes & Tips:
  • Serve with a side salad
  • Makes 6-8 dinner portions
  • Allow to rest for 15 minutes after baking
