Turkey Pot Pie

  Ingredients List:

  • 2 frozen pie shells
  • 2 cups turkey meat
  • 1/2 an  onion
  • 4 tbsp. Greek extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup gravy
  • Salt & pepper to taste
 

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375° f/180° c
  2. In a large skillet, saute chopped onions and garlic in olive oil
  3. After about 5 minutes, chop and add carrot, celery, mushrooms and peas
  4. Cook for 5 more minutes
  5. Add gravy and turkey meat and heat through for about 3 minutes
  6. Place filling mixture in pie shell
  7. Place 2nd pie shell over filling and crimp edges
  8. Cut vent holes on the top of the crust and bake for about 25-35 minutes

 

Notes & Tips:
  • Makes 4-6 servings
  • Serve with side Greek salad
  • Can easily be frozen before or after baking
  • Allow to stand for 20-30 minutes before serving
  • Substitute chicken, beef or lamb for turkey
